<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Who hasn't noticed how popular water colors are right now? Everyone is using them and it's actually a trend that I jumped right on…mainly because I love to paint! Now…to be honest I am no Picasso. I just like to swirl the color around with the paint brush and see what happens. (And maybe color a stamped image.) And these Peerless water colors are gorgeous! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I have had a lot of fun using these water colors but I had some issues painting with them in their original packaging so I decided to create my own palette for these paints. Please check out what I made in this video.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/CY-w4538bas?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Once I had that done, it was much easier to use the paints. I was enjoying it so much that I sat down and created two new cards. This first one shows you that gorgeous blue color that I talked about in the video.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAMvL1Vle6ygSSQeX3l2U9l_Mthn7ot_fxI2Jdki-xpQUtuLlKVJ9BxSsYffd4rdxQYZ2wslJz6qyKCcmOOa1j9AAnQC-2B0GnPg7aMJCDxj2jMlBvxx1vTF53aHADR-9MjFnQC8gcf0Q/s1600/IMG_2438.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAMvL1Vle6ygSSQeX3l2U9l_Mthn7ot_fxI2Jdki-xpQUtuLlKVJ9BxSsYffd4rdxQYZ2wslJz6qyKCcmOOa1j9AAnQC-2B0GnPg7aMJCDxj2jMlBvxx1vTF53aHADR-9MjFnQC8gcf0Q/s1600/IMG_2438.jpg" height="400" width="308" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Here's a close up of those beautiful colors...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQtlT9V9Xk8ucb0L8206cli7AtQHw8esOCrixGnmPzT1i5ehYmQlZLzFmaD4kO0mUc9_A9YUehUY9Bh0BAgXemHpxGd-c0OEyeJFKreBGqLdbbLyTzDzOJ1RRyaUl4Rs-6BUEGzBvvIA8/s1600/IMG_2440.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQtlT9V9Xk8ucb0L8206cli7AtQHw8esOCrixGnmPzT1i5ehYmQlZLzFmaD4kO0mUc9_A9YUehUY9Bh0BAgXemHpxGd-c0OEyeJFKreBGqLdbbLyTzDzOJ1RRyaUl4Rs-6BUEGzBvvIA8/s1600/IMG_2440.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I was a little worried that the dark color I used on the flowers wouldn't work but I think it's a great contrast with the light blue sky. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Then I decided to try a completely different color combo…</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">I painted on some water color paper first, creating that background using the yellows, oranges and a little pink that I have…then I die cut the tag and completed the card. That fantastic die is from Pretty Pink Posh and can be found <a href="http://www.shopprettypinkposh.com/StitchedDuo1-p/dc01.htm">here</a> if you are interested. (It's also available at Ellen Hutson and Simon Says Stamps…two of my fave online stores.) I should also mention that the sequins used in both these cards are also from Pretty Pink Posh. :) </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #073763; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Hope you enjoyed the cards and are having a wonderful day!</span></div>

I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend! We had a fantastic couple of days here in Alaska…gorgeous blue skies with white fluffy clouds and warm temperatures. We (meaning the hubby) grilled some yummy steaks and had a great weekend…until today. Woke up to overcast skies and rain. I am taking it as a sign that I need to get back into my craft room.<br />
<br />
Before I get started on something new I thought I would show you some of the cards I created using the card kit from Simon Says Stamp for July. I have uploaded a couple of videos on my Youtube channel. You can check those out <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTyKLrnZL4I">here</a> and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFEj18eCm8Q">here.</a><br />
<br />
I have a few other cards to share as well…I am going to start with my least favorite. I was just playing around with the stickers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5YrrPe5se77JMMjKE7AFyZW3gnijlWy7Xuhk5YJtVj33EEjIha43U88HW-HsKLSjZSGVpAXF8RYbFk-flNl23soZF_VnVPMa-xUuU05A6W1jh2I2II6Q7U-Aguhj9MHy-2jOe220v4ug/s1600/IMG_2382.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5YrrPe5se77JMMjKE7AFyZW3gnijlWy7Xuhk5YJtVj33EEjIha43U88HW-HsKLSjZSGVpAXF8RYbFk-flNl23soZF_VnVPMa-xUuU05A6W1jh2I2II6Q7U-Aguhj9MHy-2jOe220v4ug/s1600/IMG_2382.jpg" height="320" width="234" /></a></div>
<br />
I thought I would see how quickly I could throw a card together…and it was fast. I am just not too impressed with the results, which is all me and not the products. The paper and stickers are adorable!<br />
<br />
So then I thought…let's try making one with just stamps.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwHpctfSWOSYkRwGCO4lDso-WBCaxve9EqPnHWgJcWacuu4pIc8hyphenhyphenXjExBWINddywd5yeYj4ioRXBuyV7OUUE8cwMa4Qwh_DGAccGMn8GdPhP_kGAOxO17yzAwm-QFIB_SJWbGErWu86I/s1600/IMG_2388.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwHpctfSWOSYkRwGCO4lDso-WBCaxve9EqPnHWgJcWacuu4pIc8hyphenhyphenXjExBWINddywd5yeYj4ioRXBuyV7OUUE8cwMa4Qwh_DGAccGMn8GdPhP_kGAOxO17yzAwm-QFIB_SJWbGErWu86I/s1600/IMG_2388.jpg" height="320" width="250" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is truly a one layer card. No bling, no embellishments, no dimension…simply stamped…and I really like it. I find I am happiest when I am able to do some stamping on the card. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next I created this embossed card which was the inspiration for the video.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFOl1uO21iGIAyx6r4MgpCo0Tr3o-9ZYWRuHOmRElBzUz_SNZP4Gzl5fvFYI0VJv-z4VAAwS_Fc6aDyMCUo85QqWW-mHnOhjEYgsGpidDfIBqzJi3TL06h6eW729_uraH0-2LoeJ-Dw-0/s1600/IMG_2384.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFOl1uO21iGIAyx6r4MgpCo0Tr3o-9ZYWRuHOmRElBzUz_SNZP4Gzl5fvFYI0VJv-z4VAAwS_Fc6aDyMCUo85QqWW-mHnOhjEYgsGpidDfIBqzJi3TL06h6eW729_uraH0-2LoeJ-Dw-0/s1600/IMG_2384.jpg" height="320" width="299" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
That gold ink really made the card…here's a close up…</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD1t2dx2LFmFjHp2RaSgjnVCUMZSWEcPl40Akc33LL4zUo5guJvEENUuttIcE-9KInJgrzPWPDzRPF5eSN3M33a9HsmZTYFadrNRLv6jCiMcJNQ9JR0R9xGhpcAOtoKOozpPv_VEvjpdg/s1600/IMG_2391.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD1t2dx2LFmFjHp2RaSgjnVCUMZSWEcPl40Akc33LL4zUo5guJvEENUuttIcE-9KInJgrzPWPDzRPF5eSN3M33a9HsmZTYFadrNRLv6jCiMcJNQ9JR0R9xGhpcAOtoKOozpPv_VEvjpdg/s1600/IMG_2391.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This one is probably my favorite…it was simple to make but is so pretty!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And lastly, I looked around at all the scraps on my desk…and trust me…there were a ton…and instead of cleaning up, I decided to create one more card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRfEhuUppea2Ib9gPYdAgNnjYambhMwLM96ncICLbU291I8v704IpADRg0l4pqowJAVggMVsnsz56cQPX0b2xUwUVuRu-T9mrTZAd1-o4zgx463eopS01-vpeRWKqsXFzP3Gtw-ITGfpc/s1600/IMG_2380.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRfEhuUppea2Ib9gPYdAgNnjYambhMwLM96ncICLbU291I8v704IpADRg0l4pqowJAVggMVsnsz56cQPX0b2xUwUVuRu-T9mrTZAd1-o4zgx463eopS01-vpeRWKqsXFzP3Gtw-ITGfpc/s1600/IMG_2380.jpg" height="320" width="255" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you enjoyed all the cards! Happy Crafting!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />Carahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00514844208788791347noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2217649521594814327.post-25192456663904514512014-07-01T18:44:00.000-08:002014-07-01T18:46:35.819-08:00Stencil Printing…Inspired by Tim Holtz<div style="text-align: center;">
Hello again! Several weeks ago I was checking out some of the crafty blogs I like when I stumbled across one by Tim Holtz. And I loved it! If you want to check it out, you can find it <a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-june/" target="_blank">here.</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I tried it out…you can see some of my results in this <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiWw87DOR8M" target="_blank">video.</a> I had such a blast doing this that not only did I make some tags (which you can see <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77RHM0MM1A8" target="_blank">here</a>) but I also made a few cards.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJPQhNZFLLLwhhJYuet56nIP2FOiORgy4XNuhNMWNto8pY6APnkm56k0QcWXt3oqlATUktUDRFT9eKzS4X_K6htIPQQdWW5gkg6yABrPi1VU9aHdah23CIuPtj1ZtXAjJQKj8ZkDizhDU/s1600/IMG_2316.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJPQhNZFLLLwhhJYuet56nIP2FOiORgy4XNuhNMWNto8pY6APnkm56k0QcWXt3oqlATUktUDRFT9eKzS4X_K6htIPQQdWW5gkg6yABrPi1VU9aHdah23CIuPtj1ZtXAjJQKj8ZkDizhDU/s1600/IMG_2316.jpg" height="278" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think this stencil printing makes a gorgeous background. Here's a close up…</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqFYxCFyUPJAZTEv12hPz8GMzn284o7117bH31zAGKZQGwtaeIdhGl6VL7_IHMqYRD1XjdG0SIhtyg_KoTZ6kjQS0Zz2CYN2dWoS2tJ482dMIxoEzbpCH0Rt_LPwaPvQdp5G6i8kpEzLo/s1600/IMG_2317.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqFYxCFyUPJAZTEv12hPz8GMzn284o7117bH31zAGKZQGwtaeIdhGl6VL7_IHMqYRD1XjdG0SIhtyg_KoTZ6kjQS0Zz2CYN2dWoS2tJ482dMIxoEzbpCH0Rt_LPwaPvQdp5G6i8kpEzLo/s1600/IMG_2317.jpg" height="184" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Love how this looks! I also did a similar card using a different color card stock.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWNPWMq2cIKoultRr6B75AWfOVbo1qc0a9p2fm3-HVU9NitXtGFtmtXuecXOVUSU9s4cYQWeOtxDS54ZKNzGr-qyM1jkud448g4ekAcFdOgOiPerc_bIVoq7vqpdJDLzVUQWec0NxZqKk/s1600/IMG_2347.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWNPWMq2cIKoultRr6B75AWfOVbo1qc0a9p2fm3-HVU9NitXtGFtmtXuecXOVUSU9s4cYQWeOtxDS54ZKNzGr-qyM1jkud448g4ekAcFdOgOiPerc_bIVoq7vqpdJDLzVUQWec0NxZqKk/s1600/IMG_2347.jpg" height="320" width="266" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Isn't it pretty? This is the same technique I used to make one of those Father's Day cards that I showed in a previous post. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How about you? Are you trying some new crafty technique? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a great day! Happy Crafting! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

When I was a child one of my favorite things to do was to color. I loved coloring books (Barbie ones were my fave.) and drawing. I would even draw a huge scribbly thing and color in the various shapes it created. I never had any true talent as far as sketching goes but there was something so relaxing about just sitting down and coloring. I even took crayons and coloring books to college. There was no better way to relax when studying for a big exam than pulling out my coloring book (which may have still been Barbie) and crayons. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So years ago when I started getting interesting in Copics I was so excited! I loved the way they colored and couldn't wait to get started. But when I started to use them I realized they weren't as easy to use as I thought…at least not for me. I had colored some images that I was happy with like…</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQwWz4ncwdW__mVtYCMa3MHcBP9xf3jKr7uVSN7fZ_IZlq768utHs9aTdQ8-yuY8Pk4gDCU0TNjNTKNE3VQLgyUq4NMW8iwr1S6MQ3WN6Beq-iDNod46RiwaOVoM4O1EPrTAaiqgwq24Y/s1600/IMG_1349.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQwWz4ncwdW__mVtYCMa3MHcBP9xf3jKr7uVSN7fZ_IZlq768utHs9aTdQ8-yuY8Pk4gDCU0TNjNTKNE3VQLgyUq4NMW8iwr1S6MQ3WN6Beq-iDNod46RiwaOVoM4O1EPrTAaiqgwq24Y/s1600/IMG_1349.jpg" height="307" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
…this one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Or…</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7-PvHnI-6EvTC3ftcyPC16NHp8omK84G4ZmiV8QKzXS-FS41OV5qrJICvIGnxP3O0_VcmJPbiXju-gfzgm8u6ripkJTXYHvqlTo-HcGHUwh5es9uVzA5apcfhFs8JkFwRdLxBjJjKOo4/s1600/IMG_0926.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7-PvHnI-6EvTC3ftcyPC16NHp8omK84G4ZmiV8QKzXS-FS41OV5qrJICvIGnxP3O0_VcmJPbiXju-gfzgm8u6ripkJTXYHvqlTo-HcGHUwh5es9uVzA5apcfhFs8JkFwRdLxBjJjKOo4/s1600/IMG_0926.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
…this one. But I still didn't think I was really "getting it." It wasn't one of those things that I could just do a couple of times and get…if you know what I mean. I decided that if I wanted to get better at coloring, that's what I was going to have to do…practice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I got out some of the Saturated Canary stamps that I have been too afraid to use.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdgJGEgMCk967y9GeRFuPnyTq3HuEKGGJ9JTPPhMjuc8FWjnRPGqBbBeTDGjMfkbLeVbgwYa9t_BbU56fnCnmbjo-_w3VOxp-UfNGmqUsJBTvllEbm_GCcdY-cwbLVyI9sA2aeN9UI4UQ/s1600/IMG_2397.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdgJGEgMCk967y9GeRFuPnyTq3HuEKGGJ9JTPPhMjuc8FWjnRPGqBbBeTDGjMfkbLeVbgwYa9t_BbU56fnCnmbjo-_w3VOxp-UfNGmqUsJBTvllEbm_GCcdY-cwbLVyI9sA2aeN9UI4UQ/s1600/IMG_2397.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I cut some 2 inch x 2 inch squares out of the Blending Card by X-Press It. Since I want to focus on skin and hair coloring first, I stamped the top of the stamps on the squares like this…</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTSFdM7ZccuwNzsT2nUYVljHJ-SUMgx2suhQ33HEF3iRoDPl3iQbWInCn2jq64syHBaRpSDcoA2K060s7aet9P987IL8PWf0h-zxB_XgHqGzkeJav2yMmDrck4U1HCZptq-xhGBUUSNdg/s1600/IMG_2393.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTSFdM7ZccuwNzsT2nUYVljHJ-SUMgx2suhQ33HEF3iRoDPl3iQbWInCn2jq64syHBaRpSDcoA2K060s7aet9P987IL8PWf0h-zxB_XgHqGzkeJav2yMmDrck4U1HCZptq-xhGBUUSNdg/s1600/IMG_2393.jpg" height="177" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
…so what do you think? Am I ready or what? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So my plan is to practice and document my progress right here. I will keep you all posted!</div>

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! I have been trying to find my missing crafty mojo and decided some sequins might help. So I put together a few cards and did a quick video.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZD6XcfWhAe4?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's how I finished the card in the video…</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrax4Y6GxF0KD-CfqZQ1glXFguLLl5tMT0XwTAT7LC3xPbQ0vcBhOtFKBw3Gp7kNXWTbWES-Y8gG4jb3-5dyPd5ko9sYCE1gUrplwBc1iJ5Dl04d_2e48J61TdXK4b5GqB19uu5l1muvo/s1600/IMG_2364.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrax4Y6GxF0KD-CfqZQ1glXFguLLl5tMT0XwTAT7LC3xPbQ0vcBhOtFKBw3Gp7kNXWTbWES-Y8gG4jb3-5dyPd5ko9sYCE1gUrplwBc1iJ5Dl04d_2e48J61TdXK4b5GqB19uu5l1muvo/s1600/IMG_2364.jpg" height="320" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I kept it very simple…it's really all about the sequins. Here's a close up…</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8naS6uw6Ns_HjsoFKgCtAlsijO8-wIjjJl2J9otGuPNFGyS0qdfz6WX37A72gMaIvxyY3L9ZqMoyaSPIKGEfQG8ysOfL9MSdIMwaki8YxMgYjIKcfcHibuoBFh9AIjQTfhhiTkC8czFI/s1600/IMG_2363.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8naS6uw6Ns_HjsoFKgCtAlsijO8-wIjjJl2J9otGuPNFGyS0qdfz6WX37A72gMaIvxyY3L9ZqMoyaSPIKGEfQG8ysOfL9MSdIMwaki8YxMgYjIKcfcHibuoBFh9AIjQTfhhiTkC8czFI/s1600/IMG_2363.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Love those Pretty Pink Posh sequins! And since I was still feeling the sequins, I made one more card using those fun star dies from Paper Smooches that I showed you in the video.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This one might be my favorite. I love the color of those sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and the splatter from the Mister Huey's. I think it's a really fun card. Here's a close up…</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can find all of these wonderful sequins and more <a href="http://prettypinkposh.com/" target="_blank">here</a> at Pretty Pink Posh. </div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Hello there…hope you are all enjoying your weekend! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I thought I would share a card that I created for the challenge over at Mama Elephant. Here is the<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px;"> inspiration photo, courtesy of </span><a href="http://www.raymondhom.com/" style="background-color: white; color: #32b0d0; line-height: 16px; text-decoration: none;">www.raymondhom.com</a>.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img alt="2104-04.png" src="webkit-fake-url://3F8AA8F6-0F1B-468D-A21F-08DB9C5DDCDF/2104-04.png" /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">And here's what I created…</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinomEOsk3blwPxoPA1jufjcfRgQN3wUyNrF8lv81KaOEGB_SGEOVL-T5DiM3ubTn9dQ2aJTb5Q_zrPdwHk9i72ChOejWQrxJIZEEZCvET_JSSAvjW2iuo_OyMbm8u0wkwnZtM0xAIBMXU/s1600/IMG_2097.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinomEOsk3blwPxoPA1jufjcfRgQN3wUyNrF8lv81KaOEGB_SGEOVL-T5DiM3ubTn9dQ2aJTb5Q_zrPdwHk9i72ChOejWQrxJIZEEZCvET_JSSAvjW2iuo_OyMbm8u0wkwnZtM0xAIBMXU/s1600/IMG_2097.jpg" height="320" width="264" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I actually used stamps from three Mama Elephant stamp sets. The sequin and star stamps are from Confetti, the doily-like stamp is from Filigree and the sentiment is from Up and Away. I also used the Femmes Frames dies which are my FAVORITE dies! I don't even put those two away. They have what may be a permanent place on my desk. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am really pleased with the way it turned out. If you are interested in checking out the challenge or all the other gorgeous creations, they can be found <a href="http://www.mamaelephantblog.com/2014/04/updates-and-new-challenge.html" target="_blank">here.</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a wonderful week!</div>

Hello all! I hope you are having a great week!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well…technically this isn't my first shaker card. It's just the first one I am going to show you. :) I had a couple other ones that I worked on but I honestly wasn't happy with the results. I watched a ton of videos but until I actually tried putting one together…well, let's just say I learned a lot. I plan to do a how-to version of what works for me in a few days. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I do have one I want to share…please remember it's my first attempt. </div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I want to share the mini cards I created to go with some simple little treat bags I made for friends.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It was a perfect excuse to pull out some of my new Mama Elephant stamps! I grabbed my favorite one…Honey Bunny…and got busy.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I wanted these cards to be relatively small so I cut some squares of paper which were 2 x 2 inches. I stamped on the images I wanted to use and got busy coloring with my Copic markers. I added a little bit of pattern paper and used some kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink as the card base.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I think they are pretty darn cute…and that stamp set is stinkin' adorable! Absolutely love it!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I have a small new Moleskine sketchbook that I have been wanting to start using for my art journal. (I showed it in a haul video on my YT channel/AKCaraboo.) It's 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Small by many people's standards for an art journal but I am finding myself liking smaller things like this lately. The larger pages of other journals seem somewhat daunting to me. Here's what it looks like...</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgUJi_oTqIuLh2MDzhyh3-pMGuCwq_JFbo7wabYPneySMCoaGDj0eAQcL35aE_cn6UdP2V3xNc-yKvU8t6fy1IlOPhcNhU3pYuTj6GZoUYwluojF4Py0LBcdsdvwNOzdQ77jE_NcA3kvM/s1600/IMG_2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgUJi_oTqIuLh2MDzhyh3-pMGuCwq_JFbo7wabYPneySMCoaGDj0eAQcL35aE_cn6UdP2V3xNc-yKvU8t6fy1IlOPhcNhU3pYuTj6GZoUYwluojF4Py0LBcdsdvwNOzdQ77jE_NcA3kvM/s1600/IMG_2014.jpg" height="320" width="277" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I have been thinking about cracking open this journal for a couple of weeks but have been stuck thinking about the possibilities...what I want it to be, what types of things I want to try or do in it…and so on. But finally I decided to just DO IT. So tonight…with my daughter and hubby both out…I am ripping off the plastic and playing! Can't wait to see what is created…and I will share it with you from time to time. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">If you have been waiting to do something…try something new...just go for it. We over-think things so much…we need to just learn to enjoy the process. So that's what I am going to do…stop thinking and start playing!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Happy Crafting Everyone!</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>Carahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00514844208788791347noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2217649521594814327.post-37712366318588648072014-03-24T18:33:00.000-08:002014-03-24T18:33:37.386-08:00<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Hello all! I am back again! Yeah me…posting again! I am back to share a recent project with all of you. I have been crafting and creating for years but much of what I make I give away to friends and family. I decided I need to start creating some things to put up around my house. I was looking through my stash of goodies to alter when I came across some mini canvases. I decided to use some of them to create some magnets for my frig. I pulled them out and laid them down to figure out which layout worked best. </span><div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3tvSTDph3MIlx8bpLf1_-rf83ylTE0anoKoeMgqaDBYGNlJ-ZdsVmdXLDbCLjKR6eh38X2Dd0C4VyR7_YMSRfwvtoxXHvHgX8RB0rooLzDU7c1cHQvOpl4sLYPBuayDuU0-93lErOFLk/s1600/IMG_1960.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3tvSTDph3MIlx8bpLf1_-rf83ylTE0anoKoeMgqaDBYGNlJ-ZdsVmdXLDbCLjKR6eh38X2Dd0C4VyR7_YMSRfwvtoxXHvHgX8RB0rooLzDU7c1cHQvOpl4sLYPBuayDuU0-93lErOFLk/s1600/IMG_1960.jpg" height="244" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once I was happy with the layout of the canvases I laid out the stamps to determine where to place them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLgLmwaRzdtfyhrV6DSHvD3m_qpulkfGZ9qRZIukFERAgcAJOrOls8oMME1TbJYDeR8gsCTRsLg-sOigvf0kfPWIvHS6QiTGjz1hHyCEwF4FZd8OHgKAcmxsS4G1natuPlKxcu38gNpqk/s1600/IMG_1965.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLgLmwaRzdtfyhrV6DSHvD3m_qpulkfGZ9qRZIukFERAgcAJOrOls8oMME1TbJYDeR8gsCTRsLg-sOigvf0kfPWIvHS6QiTGjz1hHyCEwF4FZd8OHgKAcmxsS4G1natuPlKxcu38gNpqk/s1600/IMG_1965.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I placed them face down because that is how I would be stamping them onto the canvases. Once that was done, I picked a stencil and began applying some molding paste to each of the canvases. Before doing that I laid the stencil down with the stamp on each canvas to determine where I wanted to apply the molding paste.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_8hkoBLbDyXyVMwkNOdH90Zbq4Hx-dsVSdnQ8niZ88aDaP876gQSG9N-sDaKpHVpa2mGXeMhNdvPj-pavI5ANXLhNir_J1CY5PeB-LiXqIh15nnfgw9nGS0bJIZpJYhDXN55krPxqDh0/s1600/IMG_1966.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_8hkoBLbDyXyVMwkNOdH90Zbq4Hx-dsVSdnQ8niZ88aDaP876gQSG9N-sDaKpHVpa2mGXeMhNdvPj-pavI5ANXLhNir_J1CY5PeB-LiXqIh15nnfgw9nGS0bJIZpJYhDXN55krPxqDh0/s1600/IMG_1966.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I moved the stamp and applied the molding paste. Once I had added that to all the canvases and let it dry, I applied lots of color. I sprayed, applied gelatos, sprayed again…added gesso…and so on…until I was happy with the background. Then I stamped the images using Archival Ink…and if I am truthful…added a bit more color and gesso. I also darkened the parts that were stenciled…then added some gesso. I kept "tweaking" it until I finally had to walk away. When I came back (the next day) I decided it needed some black sequins. Then I added some magnets to the back and called it done!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello all! I know it's been a while…I hope you are all doing really well in this not-so-new-any-more year! I have been busy crafting and I wanted to share one of my newest crafty loves…Derwent Inktense pencils! They are water-soluble goodness! I actually have had these pencils for quite a while but I really hadn't tried to use them. So I pulled out one of my favorite Unity stamps…Jacqueline girl and stamped her on watercolor paper (140 lb cold press). (If you try this, make sure to use waterproof ink.) I then colored the image using the Inktense pencils.<br />
<br />
Here's a quick video on how I did it:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/PifMeJRFAlg?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This technique was so much fun…I think these pencils are a great alternative to Copic markers. (I love my Copics but they are a bit expensive and take practice.) I liked them so much I went out and got some more AND I ordered a small set of the Derwent Graphitint and Derwent Metallics (both water-soluble) to try! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's how the card turned out:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Hi everyone! I hope you have all been enjoying the last days of summer...we actually had a fantastic summer here in Alaska. We had gorgeous sunny days, cool breezes, great temperatures but...it's been raining for days now. Fall is here. I find myself wanting to snuggle up with a cozy blanket, some hot tea and my journal. Journaling means reaching into my collection of pens to find the perfect one to suit my mood.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">If you are a subbie to my Youtube channel, AKCaraboo, then you know that I have an addiction to pens. I shared my newest pen case...full to the brim with pens.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It's truly difficult for me to find a pen that I don't like...even the ones that have "issues." Maybe I don't like the color but I like the feel of the pen, maybe I don't like the way the pen looks but I like the way it writes...you get the idea. I have even taken the ink from pens I don't like and put it into other pens. Which leads me to one of my new favorites...the Pilot Hi-Tec- C Coleto multi-pen. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">These pens are fantastic because you can buy the pen body you like and then pick the ink cartridge you want to use...colors and sizes. Here's my newest one...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">This pen body will fit three ink cartridges. (I also have one that fits five!!) The ink cartridges are .5mm...I also have them in .4mm. I love the way you can tailor the pen to suit your needs and preferences.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">You simply choose a pen body and open the top...</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Hey, everyone! I'm here with The Greeting Farm today and I'm happy to report that no, it definitely was NOT a DREAM!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">That's right! Today is the super special mid-month RELEASE DAY for the brand new mixed-media DREAM kit... appropriately titled "DREAMY"! This jumbo-sized, 8.5x11 FULL sheet of stamps is available starting NOW over in the <a href="http://thegreetingfarm.com/">TGF STORE</a>, so be sure to grab yours before they sell out!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I had so much fun with this set. Let me show you a couple more canvases I created. Here's the first...</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE01RmrvfYBppZ9vWru3wsw9krdzGCI3innTfJJ2TllevlsC4HK95Ky_6GF_43GNBoQS-VPvfCIvi0TrsNM30qFMMg5pY1TR5jURBLdwtO7oudZOrIEq3-XfbBy3L8nMydkoa4SIDztis/s1600/IMG_0932.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE01RmrvfYBppZ9vWru3wsw9krdzGCI3innTfJJ2TllevlsC4HK95Ky_6GF_43GNBoQS-VPvfCIvi0TrsNM30qFMMg5pY1TR5jURBLdwtO7oudZOrIEq3-XfbBy3L8nMydkoa4SIDztis/s320/IMG_0932.jpg" width="241" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">This is actually the first one I made because I couldn't resist that little girl stamp. I used Gelatos to create the background. I stamped the little girl image and sentiment on and embossed some of the background stamps using white embossing powder. I drizzled on some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, added some trim and ta da! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Here's a close up of it...</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I kept all the colors soft and light. I really love the way this one turned out...it might be my favorite. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Next I wanted to do something completely different so...</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Again, I embossed some of the background stamps and added the sentiment...also embossed. Then I went to town with the Dylusions sprays! I added some torn black lace and foil butterflies.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So I hope you all can see how really versatile this stamp set is...not only for mixed media but also for cards and layouts and...well, I am sure you can figure it out. :)</span></div>

Hello everyone! Do any of you remember when The Greeting Farm put out a call for people to be involved in a secret mixed media project? Well, I decided put on my big girl panties and give it a try. So I sent them some pictures of some of my creations and...I got picked! I am so excited! I love, love, love TGF stamps...they have been a favorite of mine for a long time! I am totally thrilled to be able to work with this fantastic company. And the best part...today is PREVIEW DAY!!! I finally get to tell you my secret!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As part of this "special project" I was asked to create a mixed media canvas using a new stamp set from The Greeting Farm...it's called "Dreamy" and it is wonderful. It's a <u>HUGE</u> 8.5 x 11 rubber stamp set! Same great quality as all the other TGF stamps.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So's here's what I created...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgopHltjgFK6xbtIpoRFaji2fy-wYUIfZ8CS_hL0m5Evp0_Bux7fAoHOfVfqZyR1HJPOflCTkiB3-s0BfaFXqcwZT03yKW5oqbfj0ewjh9KU1NPVGfauuMIDIAgxrFc58xL8Q_y9xOOosc/s1600/IMG_0928.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgopHltjgFK6xbtIpoRFaji2fy-wYUIfZ8CS_hL0m5Evp0_Bux7fAoHOfVfqZyR1HJPOflCTkiB3-s0BfaFXqcwZT03yKW5oqbfj0ewjh9KU1NPVGfauuMIDIAgxrFc58xL8Q_y9xOOosc/s320/IMG_0928.jpg" width="232" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I created the background with some pages from an old book, some paint and some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays. But what really makes it are all the great stamps from The Greeting Farm!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's a close up of part of the canvas...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp04l2dHpMxlkJ9-JMVUTv-vNY4EvcINvSqT464LEB2_jxyZRi3W6JbQxgH1F0pG9ia3eewfmAAe717hs9Nbd3QtcY65g0nEoSVudw-khB7mew-UPrXA47m4Yddwr2VOhfqZDckLCbxcI/s1600/IMG_0931.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp04l2dHpMxlkJ9-JMVUTv-vNY4EvcINvSqT464LEB2_jxyZRi3W6JbQxgH1F0pG9ia3eewfmAAe717hs9Nbd3QtcY65g0nEoSVudw-khB7mew-UPrXA47m4Yddwr2VOhfqZDckLCbxcI/s320/IMG_0931.jpg" width="273" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love the variety of stamps you get with this set...stamps that you can use to create an awesome background, sentiments and more! In addition to creating really cool mixed media projects, these stamps can be used on layouts and to create cards...there are so many options! To check out more creations using this gorgeous stamp set, head on over to the TGF <a href="http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/">blog</a>. The "Dreamy" stamp set will be released on June 15th...and all of us will have MORE projects to share with you! (And there's a blog hop!) I will also be posting a video on my Youtube channel (AKCaraboo) to tell you a little more about each one of my creations on the 15th...so come on over and check it out!</div>

I know you are probably freakin' a bit right now...two posts in one day?!?! What's happened to Cara? Well, I am trying to be good and I have fun stuff to share with you!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Check out these cards I made using some of my Kat Scrappiness goodies.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/6eCYgPNUcP8?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love using the goodies from Kat because it makes it so much simpler to put together a card! Thanks for the goodies Kat!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yeah...I know this is a short one but still it counts!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Happy Crafting!</div>

So...I know you will find this hard to believe but...I colored with my Copic markers this weekend! I know, I know...you thought I was just saying I was going to color so I could justify all those stamps I keep buying. I get it...I kinda thought that too! :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But no! I busted out the Copics and colored! Not one, not two but FOUR images. Ok, I know I only colored the hair on two of them but still...I did it! I am thrilled with myself right now. And you know what...coloring is relaxing...at least it was this time. I just didn't worry about it...I played.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So in case you are curious...here's the video I did to show them off...but listen carefully first...before viewing...I am not a professional colorer (Is that a word?). Strictly amateur here folks and I am ok with that!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/e5SCGg7WaFo?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So what do you think?? (Be kind.)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will be coloring more soon and I pinky-promise to share it will YOU!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks so much for checking out my blog!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hugs...Cara</div>

<br />
I have a cute little card to share with you. But first...here's the story behind it. In our last design team package from Kat she gave us all a few items (four to be exact) that she wanted us to use to create something....anything...a card, a layout...whatever we wanted. All the goodies, as you will shortly see, are St. Patrick's Day themed.<br />
<br />
Now here's my problem...believe it or not...I have actually NEVER, EVER made a card for St. Patrick's Day. Or anything else for that matter...no St. Patrick's Day layout...no nothing. And while I like the color green, it's not a "go-to" color of mine. Yep...in the dark...in the green woods...with no help in site. :)<br />
<br />
But I grabbed my big girl panties and used it as an excuse to go look for stamps...I mean...I <u style="font-weight: bold;">needed</u> St. Patrick's Day sentiments...come on. Fair is fair...I make a green card...I should get stamps. So I found a few cheapies at JoAnn's and off I went.<br />
<br />
Luckily, one of the things Kat gave us was bling...love me some bling AND another was twine. Well, you know how I love twine! If you don't...trust me, I do...although guess what? I didn't have any green and white twine myself!<br />
<br />
So here's a few pics of my first St. Patrick's Day Card. The one. The only.<br />

Hi crafty peeps! Hope you are all having lots of crafty fun...I have been...making these rosettes! I love them! I can use them on cards, layouts, altered projects...all variety of crafty goodness. And the thing I like best is that I can use my scraps to make them. You can purchase the die or you can make them with out the die. Let's start with the die. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have the Mini Paper Rosette die from Tim Holtz.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJkz31Zap2YlI9TyF3I8jC2uCYoLIGqWNewc1KKRKzslavkKSSRxfDZ5k4SQEKpKgyyN2Q_fKAEKH84VgMY2xhAsecsVoMEABTX1WR-mkUYp5prJ5nWrON6MM4J-zlLummExGglJZ7CY0/s1600/IMG_0634.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJkz31Zap2YlI9TyF3I8jC2uCYoLIGqWNewc1KKRKzslavkKSSRxfDZ5k4SQEKpKgyyN2Q_fKAEKH84VgMY2xhAsecsVoMEABTX1WR-mkUYp5prJ5nWrON6MM4J-zlLummExGglJZ7CY0/s320/IMG_0634.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This die creates two rosettes...one that is approximately 2 inches in diameter and another that is approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Once you have the paper strips cut out from the die, you fold on the perforated lines and then glue the ends together. I use Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH3CLzAsJ3KDtVaArCVnMVvRdJNCNVymv5FViBkX-mFcFq_mGYdAsbNN2QAQYsrLS2ib2zfmT3en7wmxXk8xoT2h8fPU1OwSPig328Xi0e4nnq0InG73rGAfPu5gMhPUhh_Z-nmDYycG8/s1600/IMG_0636.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH3CLzAsJ3KDtVaArCVnMVvRdJNCNVymv5FViBkX-mFcFq_mGYdAsbNN2QAQYsrLS2ib2zfmT3en7wmxXk8xoT2h8fPU1OwSPig328Xi0e4nnq0InG73rGAfPu5gMhPUhh_Z-nmDYycG8/s320/IMG_0636.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I cut out a circle using my 1 inch circle punch for the base. Then I press the folded paper down in the center...like this...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I put Glossy Accents in the center and a little around the top of the hole...and put the decorative center on top. I hold it in place for a few seconds and then voila! There's a rosette!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you don't have the die or you want a different size, you can easily make a paper rosette. Determine what size rosette you want and cut a strip of paper...I use a piece of paper that is 10 to 12 inches long (depending on the scraps I have) and 1/2 the width of the rosette I want to create. So if I want a rosette that is approximately 3 inches in diameter, the paper strip will be 1 1/2 inches wide. You can use a border punch to create a decorate edge. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZdNHNDuQZtpwIcpN0ZSJ2GMb557RAZ4X7McJEjAX4Osd4Tj2SXE5Txm9IeCv80fzXwws2gnnY2C4IekVeO8EkBxkOr-2MF6YNU7VcDPttBaOBRbppimAFXhi7f5z4lt8VxvAm8sFhRKI/s1600/IMG_0638.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZdNHNDuQZtpwIcpN0ZSJ2GMb557RAZ4X7McJEjAX4Osd4Tj2SXE5Txm9IeCv80fzXwws2gnnY2C4IekVeO8EkBxkOr-2MF6YNU7VcDPttBaOBRbppimAFXhi7f5z4lt8VxvAm8sFhRKI/s320/IMG_0638.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then using a scoreboard, score the strip of paper at 1/4 of an inch increments width-wise...all the way down the strip of paper. (If you have a decorative edge, be extra careful not to damage the it when scoring.) Fold the strip, glue the ends and proceed as I described with the first rosette. Again...easy-peasy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then you can decorate and embellish them!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEH2p3p1HvrdBFhjTVqaAakBgdfiXiLUuHoRqzoGrJjhbWXuU2n5fVFbv_IWbmMDXyUHQqKN-RlsWSUEa6xUicNTEQaiA_49t292xuNnik16ZyKXax_VtCvkfo4M3NN2RZSg2TzFxNrCA/s1600/IMG_0639.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="259" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEH2p3p1HvrdBFhjTVqaAakBgdfiXiLUuHoRqzoGrJjhbWXuU2n5fVFbv_IWbmMDXyUHQqKN-RlsWSUEa6xUicNTEQaiA_49t292xuNnik16ZyKXax_VtCvkfo4M3NN2RZSg2TzFxNrCA/s320/IMG_0639.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hi everyone...the holidays are almost over and it's time for some resolutions...realistic ones. Mine are mostly about crafty things. I need to do a few things...like...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
...get better organized. I have already started with this one. I rearranged one of my favorite desk-top storage pieces. This great little thing is actually from Pampered Chef and I love it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpbZ9NeYfEPpsOaJJR0YBQj8aJNqI2DpSkgdagc48vS5_aTnfzvmdWaDD3nUTaO2gZo9gzHH8u08WsDs-f-fCknyjuhFyHZTCaftC3coIPNW8f6wp_AkbTy4lmiO3ldS-aOpocG_fHfiQ/s1600/DSC00804.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpbZ9NeYfEPpsOaJJR0YBQj8aJNqI2DpSkgdagc48vS5_aTnfzvmdWaDD3nUTaO2gZo9gzHH8u08WsDs-f-fCknyjuhFyHZTCaftC3coIPNW8f6wp_AkbTy4lmiO3ldS-aOpocG_fHfiQ/s320/DSC00804.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've actually rearranged it again since this picture was taken. :) I have all my paint brushes, markers (excluding Copics) and all sorts of other crafty goodness in it. Next I will be reorganizing all my stamps...and I will show those to you in an upcoming Youtube video. (It's going to take me several more days to get that done.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
While reorganizing them I am going to go through all my stamps (mostly my Close To My Heart ones) and sell all the ones I haven't been using very much. (Yep, that's another Youtube video coming up.) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am also going to go through all my inks and probably sell or give away the ones I don't use much.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you may have figured out, I really want to go through all my crafty supplies and get rid of the things I am not using. I am sure I will find most of it a good home with some other crafty people. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also want to try some new things this year...like art journaling, more jewelry making and hopefully some altered art items. I want to have fun with art again. Too much of what I did in 2012 was about what I felt I had to do as opposed to what I wanted to do. I enjoyed it but I need a change.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also want to make an effort to get healthier this year...not only for myself but for my family. Most of all I want learn to be happy with what I have...great husband, wonderful kids...all in all a really good life. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So...enough about me...what are your resolutions? Whatever they are...I wish you luck and a Happy New Year!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

I am so sorry I have been so bad about blogging. It just seems a little silly to me to blog about things I have already shown in a video on my YouTube channel. So I am back with a plan. I am going to try to show you little extras here...like a card I didn't show on a video or a project just for this blog. Maybe we will even talk about other stuff besides crafty things. Who knows? Let's wait and see what happens. :) <br />
<br />
Sooooo...that being said...here is how I used the hearts I showed you on the Kat Scrappiness <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJlrKTTDbMw&list=UUwXGTFZuscFxERJ3dwb_81g&index=1&feature=plcp">video</a> I uploaded to my YouTube channel today!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And here is a close up of those cute hearts...<br />
<br />

<br />
I hope you like it. Please let me know if you have any questions! I hope your day is filled with lots of crafty fun!<br />

<br />
Just a quick post today...just wanted to share some little bookmarks I made for little gifts for friends for Valentine's Day. I have been reorganizing my stamps lately and have realized how many I have that I have not used. So in an effort to actually use some of my supplies I pulled out three new sets. Two of them are from Papertrey Ink. Those sets are Background Basics: Circles and Stitches and Swirls. If you are interested in checking out Papertrey Ink, the online store can be found <a href="http://www.papertreyink.com/">here.</a> The other set I used was from Hero Arts and it is called Untitled Heart. Since these are going to be used as bookmarks I only used stamps to jazz up the tags. <br />
<br />
Here they are:<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWIr6O8_PUi7wptAB2rcV-HB_FCQXX1A75cEywcWTkAkrZ-RuzX3wM4c9n1KZlL_CNn0XacFkdFD0oO_5X14JI480wlscd_OXNLQ2C4OE6-UX71LBcMFyJpSMu1w_3DZe6hknGPg8JkIw/s320/Simple+Bookmark+%25231.JPG" width="188" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqd2XPtDcOU77HIBM6fabdahNuzh3cZjTq7HhtiHjWNX8hMHucfI875-vEY2WJ02fliLtRRMTQ9cg7r2hOYlFwzZFFn0pthGSNnB0h0mHhhwX-0xaqoBSuqZ7I394hAesiWuCk_Wnjq84/s1600/Simple+Bookmark+%232.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqd2XPtDcOU77HIBM6fabdahNuzh3cZjTq7HhtiHjWNX8hMHucfI875-vEY2WJ02fliLtRRMTQ9cg7r2hOYlFwzZFFn0pthGSNnB0h0mHhhwX-0xaqoBSuqZ7I394hAesiWuCk_Wnjq84/s320/Simple+Bookmark+%232.JPG" width="186" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXpuRj84Zs3VrHvVxR2xPmMbLF1pY59D399wFKiBgDTlNLHiGRJ0YQR4NuAvesNaCubqzsF8AiEcSGvuZ3UXGm-24uydMd-cOF39kWf2dm_kxJqrAfkRFCO11CJd0RAloE-iPDLisFiAs/s1600/Simple+Bookmark+%233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXpuRj84Zs3VrHvVxR2xPmMbLF1pY59D399wFKiBgDTlNLHiGRJ0YQR4NuAvesNaCubqzsF8AiEcSGvuZ3UXGm-24uydMd-cOF39kWf2dm_kxJqrAfkRFCO11CJd0RAloE-iPDLisFiAs/s320/Simple+Bookmark+%233.JPG" width="138" /></a></div>
<br />
I know they are very simple but I still think they are very sweet!<br />
<br />
<br />
I realize that Valentine's Day is just two days away but I have finished three more cards that I will be sharing over on my Youtube channel (AKCaraboo) tomorrow. If you are interested you can check them out <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/AKCaraboo">here.</a> So...14 projects done!<br />

<br />
Many of you may know...if you watch my videos...that I received a really adorable altered purse from Brandy over at Mini Album Scraps for a swap we participated in. <br />
<br />

So cute, right?! Brandy is so talented.<br />
<br />
I had just bought a couple of paper mache purses right before I received the one from Brandy. So I decided to be brave and alter one of the purses.<br />
<br />
Here's what I came up with:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnDZKQzWUCMTcXZWuM7E8DpSZPUNCqmMtKL4mCZioZhbNwIgrFbB6sDedwi27QKs2rLXx_De2D_kGtqUEgyT78xoCozoW3nYuOSJsmRJ58S5-T1o_HfJwkCTK2F_NivcBYv8kX9JiLXbg/s1600/Altered+Purse.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnDZKQzWUCMTcXZWuM7E8DpSZPUNCqmMtKL4mCZioZhbNwIgrFbB6sDedwi27QKs2rLXx_De2D_kGtqUEgyT78xoCozoW3nYuOSJsmRJ58S5-T1o_HfJwkCTK2F_NivcBYv8kX9JiLXbg/s320/Altered+Purse.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

I really wanted to use that gorgeous brown flower you see on the purse. It's from Kat Scrappiness, an esty store you can find <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/KatScrappiness">here.</a><br />
<br />
Here is a close-up of that flower:<br />

It's sooo pretty! I have been looking for a way to use one of those in a project and this purse seemed perfect for it.<br />
<br />
I have uploaded a video showing how I created this purse on my Youtube channel (AKCaraboo). You can find the video <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/AKCaraboo?feature=mhee">here</a> . I also have uploaded a video on my new die storage organization. I am so thrilled with it!<br />
<br />
Please let me know if you have any questions!<br />
