Altered Purse

Hi everyone!

Many of you may know...if you watch my videos...that I received a really adorable altered purse from Brandy over at Mini Album Scraps for a swap we participated in.

Here's a picture of it:

So cute, right?! Brandy is so talented.

I had just bought a couple of paper mache purses right before I received the one from Brandy. So I decided to be brave and alter one of the purses.

Here's what I came up with:

I really wanted to use that gorgeous brown flower you see on the purse. It's from Kat Scrappiness, an esty store you can find here.

Here is a close-up of that flower:

It's sooo pretty! I have been looking for a way to use one of those in a project and this purse seemed perfect for it.

I have uploaded a video showing how I created this purse on my Youtube channel (AKCaraboo). You can find the video here . I also have uploaded a video on my new die storage organization. I am so thrilled with it!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Something new...a charm bracelet

Hi everyone!

I need to begin with an apology to those that actually read my blog. I haven't been very good about updating it. I have been uploading videos to Youtube instead. I really should do both...so here's my promise to try harder. :)

I was doing a swap over at Mini Album Scraps for Valentine's Day and I decided to try my hand at making a charm bracelet.

What do you think?

Here are some close-ups:

I also did a video with some tips on how I made it. You can find this video here. I enjoyed making it so much that I think I may see if there are any local classes on jewelry making. I would like to learn a little bit more about putting the pieces together.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Here's some pictures:

I also uploaded a video of these cards which you can find right here. And all of these adorable felt embellishments can be found here at Kat Scrappiness.

I have a new mini book I am working on...I hope to post pics (& a video) of that soon. Also, just a quick reminder...the giveaway on my channel closes tonight! Don't forget to post a comment.

Valentine's Series - #1

Hello everyone!
One of my resolutions this year was to use more of my supplies...don't get me wrong...I will still be buying some new crafty goodies from time to time. But I have soooo many supplies that I have never reached for...stamps, paper pads...you name it. So I decided one good way to use some of these supplies was to do a series of projects for Valentine's Day. It will probably be mostly (if not all) cards, depending on how much time I have to complete all of my ideas.

So here is card #1:

And here is a close up of the adorable felt puppy dog I used on the card:

These cute felt embellishments can be found at Kat Scrappiness on etsy here. I posted a video on Youtube which shows you how easy this card was to create using those cute felties. The video can be found here on my Youtube channel AKCaraboo. I list all the supplies I used in that video.

I also recently posted a couple videos showing a mini book/junk journal organizer I created. I had such a good time doing it and there is a little of Kat's felt goodness in there too. If you are interested in making one, I am hosting a swap over at Mini Album Scraps which is a wonderful online crafty community. The swap can be found in the Junk Journal Group. Come on over and check us out! :)

A little more feltie goodness...

Hi everyone!

Just a quick post...I hope you are all enjoying your holidays!! Christmas was a lot of fun...Santa was very generous this year but I am looking forward to a quiet three-day weekend. We have no big plans for the New Year's weekend...hubby has to work, our oldest went back to college this morning so it will be just me and my Kassi girl. We plan to relax, maybe take in a movie...and I plan to do crafty things, of course. :) I am getting ready to update and reorganize some of my supplies and I am planning on sharing what I come up with...need to start the new year off right!

So after my oldest took off this moring (& I got home from work) I cleaned up my craft room (where the kiddo was staying) and decided I needed a crafty fix. So I got out some of the goodies Kat sent me and came up with a couple of quick cards.

I have posted a video on my Youtube channel which you can find here. Please check out it to see the cards I created today.

All of Kat's felt goodies can be found at her etsy store, Kat Scrappiness here.

As always...thanks for stopping by!

More Kat Scrappiness Goodness!!

Happy Holidays!

I just couldn't resist taking a break from all the holidays "stuff" - baking, wrapping, etc. - to make a couple more cards using some of Kat's adorable felties. I am (thankfully) done with all my Christmas cards (& they are in the mail!!!) but I wanted to get a few cards ready for after the holidays.

Here are a couple that I came up with pretty quickly today:

Those adorable little felt snowflakes can be found here at Kat's etsy store. The pattern paper, cardstock, buttons and twine are all from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment stamp is from WPlus9 and the punch is from EK success.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday...as always thanks for stopping by!
